On his social media platform, the Siaya county boss James Orengo has revealed a key move he together with Mama Ida Odinga did on Friday in Ugunja constituency of Siaya county. According to James Orengo, the move is likely set to uplift education, especially to the girl child, in Ugunja sub county.

On his twitter page, Orengo revealed that he joined Mama Ida Odinga and the Ugunja constituency Member of Parliament Opiyo Wundanyi in officially opening a new girls' school in Ugunja constituency.
Orengo has explained that the newly opened school has been named after Ida Odinga. The name of the school is therefore dabbed as 'Dr Ida Odinga Girls Secondary School'.
''Together with Mama @IdaOdinga and Ugunja MP @OpiyoWandayi we officially opened Dr. Ida Odinga Girls Secondary Asango in Sigomre Ward, Ugunja Constituency. This is a center of excellence that will ensure that our girls get quality education.'' Siaya county boss James Orengo tweeted.
