Schools To Be Reopened After The Holiday After The Lastest Government Announcement

According to the 2021 school calendar term dates, all schools were supposed to reopen on Monday 10th October for the second term. However, this is not going to happen because Dr. Fred Matiangi confirmed that it will be a public holiday.

All learners have been advised to prepare to report back to their various schools starting from Tuesday 12th October. This new opening date was confirmed by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha when appearing before the members of Parliament.

The Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha also assured all public schools principals that the government shall disburse funds ( 17 billion Kenyan Shillings) before learning resumes on Tuesday. However, he also requested those people that are financially well off to pay their children's fees on time.

Parents and guardians should continue making the necessary arrangement such as paying school fees and purchasing all required materials before sending the students to school for second-term studies.
