Revealed: How CBC Experience Saved Teachers From Biding Their Students & Colleagues Goodbye

The primary school teachers are today well trained in handling the CBC curriculum which its implementation is currently in grade Five.By 2023,the implementation of the curriculum will be in the Junior secondary schools. This is where the Government is facing some tough times in terms of putting up sufficient infrastructure.

Currently, the Teachers Service Commission is constantly training the teachers in the CBC curriculum.Thousands of primary schools teachers have already been trained with the Headteachers leading their teachers in the trainings.

Recently,TSC instead of issuing the teachers who applied for Administrative posts with letters extended the contracts of the Headteachers who were due to retire this year. This move did not auger well with the teachers who have waited for their letters since February when the interviews were done.

Education Digital News has now revealed that these headteachers had their contracts get extended because it needed to tap in their experiences in the new curriculum.Besides this, the Commission targeted them to compensate the time lost during the Covid-19 holiday.Even as these new teachers stay in the offices for some two more years, the teachers who applied for these positions are optimistic that they will receive their promotion letters soon.
