Education CS Ezekiel Machogu under fire after senators sought answers on the usage of Sh873 million for the school feeding program.
According to the ministry, Ksh.201 million has been used to give cash transfers to various schools, Ksh.607 million to buy food, while a further Ksh.54 million has been used to transport the food to various counties. It compromises of rice worth Ksh.457 million, beans worth Ksh.115 million, vegetable oil worth Ksh.43 million and salt worth Ksh.2 million for the last one month in the ten counties

The members of the committee said no such program has been witnessed in schools in their counties.
Pokot South MP David Pkosing wants Education CS Ezekiel Machogu and his Treasury CS Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u summoned over the funding of public universities; says the institutions are on the verge of collapsing for the next two years.
The universities and colleges should get funds from the government or else education sector will fail terribly.
