County Commissioner Gives Green Light To Sniff Out Students Who Failed To Join Form One

Thousands of pupils failed to enroll in form one in various counties around the country four weeks after admissions began owing to one or two causes.

With this in mind, according to Kilifi County Commissioner John Elunga'ata, at least 12000 students have failed to report to school for form one admission.

The commissioner, on the other hand, has directed the chiefs and assistant chiefs to ensure that every pupil has enrolled in secondary school by October.

"Machifu wanafaa kuisaidia wizara ya Elimu kutimiza lengo lake la kuhakikisha kuwa kila mtahiniwa wa KCPE amejiunga na sekondari,” akasema Bw Elung’ata.

Mr Elunga'ata, speaking at Wakala Girls secondary school in Magarini constituency, advised responsible authorities to be cautious when it comes to education issues.

With him was Mr Olaka who supported Commissioner's claims noting that by making sure students get help, the percentage will positively shift.

"Tunaamini ifikapo wiki ijayo, idadi ya watahiniwa watakaojiunga na sekondari itapanda kutoka asilimia 64 hadi asilimia 80,” akasema Bw Olaka.
