The family of a student from Kianyaga Boys High School in Kirianyaga County is seeking answers to the whereabouts of their son who went missing.
According to Education Philanthropists Ndugu Nyoro, the student identified as Vincent Waruhiu went missing days after calling his mother and pleading for her prayers.
Waruhiu further complained that he was experiencing stomach pains. Reports held at the school click revealed that Waruhiu had been bullied by some students who forced him to eat some cake that he believed was the result of the stomach upset.
The boy's father said that he received a call from Kianyaga Deputy Principal informing him that his son had gone missing and could not be traced within the school premises.
Upon receiving the call on Saturday, Waruhius's further traveled to the school on Monday and held a series of meetings with the school administration.
Seeking answers, he was told by the school to wait as the administration could get back to him when they get clues about his whereabouts.
He immediately reported the matter at the Kianyaga police station only for him to be surprised that the school, the administration had not made any reports about his missing son.
On further interrogation, it was found out that Waruhiu had requested his class teacher to shift him to another class fearing that his bullies could get back at him and harm him.
Waruhiu is a form four students and his parents hope that when will be found on time so that he can sit for KCSE that kicks off next week.
