With the covid 19 pandemic ravaging the world, WHO introduced measures that are meant to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
This measures include social distancing where individuals are supposed to ensure that a distance of 1.5 metres from the other person, regular cleaning of hands and most importantly always ensuring that puts on a face mask especially when a person is in public.
When the schools reopened from the covid induced break early this year, the government made it mandatory for all schools to ensure that students are safe by making a face mask a compulsory requirement while students are in class.
In a strange twist of events, three students all in Ibote Tharaka Nithi county have been apprehended by authorities for opting to drop out of school than put on a mask while at school.
The three students and their parents allege that wearing a mask goes against their religious beliefs and hence the decision.
What do you think should be done to such people with cultic tendencies?
