Once a month from the time a girl reaches puberty, there is a chance she will miss school and work for a significant portion of her life because she has her period. Some girls end up skipping class because they can’t afford money to buy sanitary products or they don’t have access to clean water and sanitation to keep themselves clean and prevent diseases.
Today the ministry of education has received six hundred thousand sanitary pads donation from the United States of America. This is now a good news to girl child who are unable to buy or afford money to buy the pads.photo courtesy
Early the government had already supplied the pads to public school now it will extend it's hand to private schools because same girls also face similar challenges. The United States of America through it's embassy further promised that it will supply more pads.photo courtesy
This program is aimed to keep a girl child in school by reducing obstacles which may hinder her from receiving equal quality education as boy child.
