Schools Closed, Government Restricts Movement of People as Chaos Escalate in Eswatini Kingdom

Eswatini is also known as Swaziland is a small landlocked country found in the South part of Africa.

Unrest has been reported in the small country following the leaked details alleging the leader of the country, King Mswati III has fled the country.

The King fled the kingdom after protests for democracy turned chaotic destroying property, looting, blockage of public roads, and people have been reported injured.

Acting prime minister Themba Masuku has promised on working around the clock to ensure normalcy is restored and peace prevails.

He has asked the people to exercise patience as the government has heard their grievances and is addressing their issues with stakeholders and the parliament to come to a solution.

"The government has been following these protests and we want to assure the Nation that these concerns have reached our ears and we are addressing them.. "

In regards to the escalating chaos, the government through minister Themba has ordered a curfew in the kingdom that will run from 6 pm to 5 am. All schools in the kingdom will be closed indefinitely during the period and there will be no communication with the outside world as the government has ordered the internet shut down.

The military and the police have been deployed throughout the kingdom to neutralize the situation

"Our security forces are on the ground to maintain law and order. We request the nation to cooperate as they are deployed to protect the lives of all Swazi people of this beautiful Kingdom", Masuku added.
