Good news for Diana Nyokabi as Lamu Governor pays her school fees.

Diana Nyokabi , the Bungoma pupil who scored 402 marks in last years KCPE but was on the verge of missing her chance to join form one due to lack of fees. Her and her family have received good news since the Lamu Governor, Fahim Twaha has paid for her full year school fees.

On Wednesday her family said she might gave to repeat Standard 8 because they are unable to raise the fees. On Thursday morning, Governor Twaha paid the full amount of Ksh.53,000 to Bungoma D.E.B headteacherTobias Khisa her former headteacher who had appealed for help on behalf of Diana Nyokabi.

Her mother who is a hawker in Bungoma said she was saddened when she found out her daughter's name was no longer on the list of beneficiaries even after she was picked by County officials in May. Hon.Millicent Omanga and Akothee Foundation also have reached out to assist in paying school fees for the brilliant girl. Other Kenyans also were touched by this story and came out in large numbers to help the girl and her family.
