Good News To Primary School Teachers As Negotiation On Their New Salaries Reach The Final Stage

Teachers across the country in primary section have all the reasons to smile after negotiation on their new salaries reaching the final stage of approval. KUPPET chair Amboko Milemba and KNUT chair Mr. Oyuu have confirmed that and say that teachers will have their new salaries effected on their payslips at the end of this month.

Amboko Milemba and Oyuu have revealed these news after a meeting between them and the Teachers Service Commission turned out to be fruitful. Here is the approved new basic salary and allowances for the primary school teachers.

The new salary will see those teachers who enter the teaching profession at primary level pocket sh. 28000 from the previous sh. 24000 which they used to earn. With this increase, the teachers will be able to acquire basic needs and even pay for the Teachers Professional Development modules which the Teachers Service Commission boss Dr. Nancy Macharia has insisted that it is mandatory for all teachers.
