Students have been on holiday since last week and were expected to be back to school on Monday next week . Majority students were to open on monday 11th of October 2021 but it would not be so as Monday will be a public holiday according to the Kenyan calendar .
On 10th of October each year in Kenya there is Mashujaa day celebration which is to celebrate the forefathers of Kenya's democracy who fought the colonial rulers to ensure that Kenya became an independent state .
Since 10th October will be on Sunday which will be a weekend the government as shifted it to Monday making Monday a holiday therefore students will have to stay till Tuesday do that they report back to school in honour of the Mashujaa day celebration which is to be Monday . Students who were to report on Monday have an extra day for holiday .
