The Standard Gauge Railway is the most expensive infrastructure project in the country since independence. The project has so far cost over three-hundred billion Kenyan Shillings. Many experts and politicians have criticized the project terming it a white elephant.

However, in spite of all the criticism, the SGR has cut short the time taken to travel from Nairobi to Mombasa. This has made it much easier to travel from the capital city to Mombasa and back on the same day.

In addition to that, the train terminus look very beautiful. They are well designed and look very modern. Today, students from Magomano Secondary School visited the Nairobi terminus. This is according to a social media post by Afristar SGR that read, "Magomano Girls High School , from Kinangop being treated to an educational visit at the Nairobi Terminus."

The social media post was then followed by photos that showed the students dressed in their official school uniform.
