Education Cabinet Secretary Warned Universities Institutions Against The Following

Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha yesterday, April 30, 2021, issued a stern warning to universities in our country against admitting students from one region.

Education cabinet secretary while speaking at the 20th Maseno University graduation ceremony warned tertiary institutions not to be crowded with people of certain people one tribe.Universities should reflect national outlook and diversity.

"If you fill a university with people of your own tribal, that is a local university. It will not be a national university."

"Even if you don't like that person, but he's the best, you'll take him," he ordered.

Magoha continued to challenge the standard of teaching at nation universities. He urged students and faculty to ensure success at universities and all students should adhere to laid down requirements by Institutions.

"If you look at the ratio of your full professors to well-known academic staff, what does it look like?

"That is a great tragedy," he said.
