KNEC body is an agency of ministry of education. KNEC body is mandate for setting examination, contract supervisors, examinars, invigilators and issue certificate.

With the third wave of coronavirus in Kenya which is lethal to citizens has for KNEC to change modality of dealing with examinars. Recently, President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta came up with new policy to control spread third wave of coronavirus to the country. The government locked five counties such as Kiambu, Nairobi and Machakos. President Uhuru Kenyatta and third wave of coronavirus has complicated KNEC body programme especially travelling of examinars to marking centres.

However, KNEC body has resorted to a new method of using school bus for Examinars to. KNEC body has send crucial message to Director County commissioners to avail school bus to ferry examinars from Sub-county, county to marking centres. Director County commissioners will also provide passes for examinars. Examinars will require identify themselves through national identity card and invitation letters.
