The President of Kenyatta University Students Association (KUSA) Teddy Odhiambo has issued stern warning over delayed disbursement of HELB loans.
Odhiambo urged the National Treasury to move with speed and release the HELB loan to students failure to which the comrades will take a tough action against the government.
In a tweet on Wednesday, he warned that university students will join hands with Members of Parliament, who are demanding release of NG-CDF money, and storm the Treasury if the funds are not released immediately.
"CDF and HELB funds for students are unimaginably important. If the treasury persists with this unconstitutional monotony, all university comrades will merge with all MPs and invade the treasury. I rest my case," Odhiambo said.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has also asked National Treasury and Planning Cabinet Secretary to ensure HELB loan is disbursed saying varsity students are in need of money to support their education.
"HELB must move with speed and send money to the 327,000 comrades. The purpose of Education is to replace an empty mind with an open one. We will soon stop SINGING and start SWINGING should they continue denying comrades this inherent right," he said.
Owino, who is serving a second-term as MP, is a former President of students in the University of Nairobi.
