As the 2020 KCPE candidates are planning to join high school they can apply for the scholarship. The candidates are asked to apply for the presidential secondary school bursary scheme. It was started in the financial year 2013/2014 with the aim of supporting orphans and vulnerable children in high school.
The scheme is a government contribution towards complying with the legal requirements as stipulated in the children's act 2001 section 7 (1), and as a compementary service to the cash transfer - OVC program. Enhancing secondary school enrollment, attendance and completion by the vulnerable children and ophans in Kenya is the main aim of this bursery scheme.
Children Department Headquarters is the body administering the president secondary schools bursary (PSSB) and is in all Constituencies across the country.
The eligible students are urged to apply for the bursary to receive funding during this financial year. In all the sub counties the application forms are found in various Children Departments Office.
The following are the requirements for you to be considered for this bursary scheme.
1.The student must be enrolled in a government recognized public boarding secondary school.
2. The students must be under the age of 18 years.
3. The student must be from a very poor house hold or an orphan.
