Bujumba Girls High School situated in Bumala is reported to have joined the list of shame after burning down the dormitory just 1 week after halfterm break.
According to sources, the fire was witnessed during the day and later the girls were released to go back home. A text message by the school administration sent to parents at around 3.00 p.m indicated that the students were released immediately after the fire incident was witnessed.
The message reads, "Dear parent/guardian, your daughter has been released to come home immediately due to fire incident at school," as indicated below.The cause of the fire has not yet been established but it is evident that the students themselves could have been the cause due to latest pressure of most of them fearing the tight learning schedule.
