Somber mood has engulfed students, teachers and residents of Keben Secondary school in Belgut Sub county, Kericho county after a form three boy stabbed to death his 18-year-old female colleague.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident which led to the death of the teenage girl, happened after an altercation between the two students on Wednesday morning.
While confirming the incident, Waldai location chief John Koech said the boy came with a knife in the morning of Wednesday and executed the act before lessons started causing panic in the school before all students except form fours were sent back home.
Following the horrible act by the student, learning at the institution has been paralyzed with irate students storming out of school demanding justice for their colleague.
Police from Sosiot police station were alerted by members of the public who rushed to the scene and arrested the boy who attempted to escape after committing the horrible act.
Body of the slain girl was taken to Kericho County Referral Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
