A student wishing to join Form One at Kangaru School has got the attention of Kenyans after he reported to the school with a cock that he hoped would cater for his school fees.
The student comes from a humble background and his mother could not afford to take him to school on 4th May the day he was supposed to report. The boy was very uncomfortable at home knowing that his former primary school classmates have joined form one and are reading but he is still at home. This made Murimi to bow down under pressure and convinced his mother to take him to Kangaru School despite the school fees challenge.
The mother and the boy went to Kangaru School but they could not be helped. The boy had carried a cock that he thought would save him get a chance to the prestigious Kangaru School. The boy was also hoping that the school administration will accept him as a needy student and admit him as it seeks well wishers to pay his school fees.
"We were told that Murimi could not be admitted due to lack of school fees and so we went back with our cock. We had hoped that the school would take the cock and allow Murimi in class," Murimi's mother is quoted while tears dropping down from her face.
Popular pastor Ben Kiengei has finally come out to the rescue of Murimi as he has highlighted how he will make sure that Murimi is admitted at Kangaru School.
The pastor has promised to pay the whole year's school fees courtesy of his production Kiengei Live media.
The man of God has also shared the paybill numbers so that well wishers and some Kenyans can contribute towards Murimi's education.
