Teachers Get August Salaries Despite TSC's Scare Over The Jab.

A number of Teachers and civil servants who had not been Vaccinated against covid-19 by August 23 were staring at salary withdrawals.

The head of Civil service Joseph kinyua had warned all public workers to consider taking a jab failure to which their Salaries would be stopped.

This saw teachers and other public workers making long ques in a bid to get the elusive jab as shortages continued to bite.

Nevertheless, the president while addressing the Media earlier this week assured the nation that no body will be forced to take a jab against hisor her will.

This he said urging them to continue getting Vaccinated as that is the best defense against the pandemic.

The president's statement came at a time when teachers service Commission had already warned teachers against failure to take the vaccine as ordered by Kinyua.

Uhuru's intervention could have come at a better time as teachers who earn from a number of major banks have received their salaries irrespective of whether they have taken the jab or not.

Taking to their social media walls, they have listed those banks which have paid Salaries to their clients. This means a good half term break for Kenyan tutors.

Some of the banks that have already paid include kcb, equity, family, nbk, and some Saccos.

Teachers are on half term holiday up to Monday when the students will report back for the final segment of first term 2021-2022 academic year.
