Parents Can Now Smile After Magoha Slashed School Fee From Ksh.55,000-45,000 And Ksh.45,000 -35,000

The Education Cabinet Secretary Magoha has released good news to all parents regarding the reduction of secondary school fees from Ksh. 55,000 to Ksh. 40,000 for the academic year 2021. CS Magoha said that this came as a result of reduction of the number of weeks from 39 to 39 weeks.

This is one of the ministry's strategic approaches to ensure students catch up with the regular calenders next year. According to the circular dated Wednesday 16th June Magoha sent to all headteachers, the new fee structure will be effected starting from July 26th 2021 to 4th March 2022.

With reference to the new fee plan, learners in national and extra-county schools in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Thika and Nyeri will pay Ksh 45,000 per year. This is around Ksh 10,000 cut from the amount they used to pay initially. Those in county and sub county schools will pay Ksh 35,000 from Ksh 45,000.
