On 17th January 2022, Slain LGBTQ activist as well as known modeller Edwin Kiprotich Kiptoo, popularly known as Chiloba burial ceremony was done Elgeiyo-Marakwet county. His body was removed from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, MTRH morgue and was taken directly to his father's home for burial at Sergoit Village in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

There were several people who attended the event including his college friends and University of Eldoret management including head of department where he was studying. According to a video shared by Baringo News, his lecturers paid their tribute to the slain fashionist saying that he was passionate about his career and a warm hearted student. The HOD revealed that on the 31st December 2022,Chiloba sent a message to friends wishing them a happy new year, little did they know that it was his last day.
