Rare Photo Of Ever Smiling 24-Year-Old Late Wangari Maathai Right At Her College Days

To date Late Kenyan Prof and Nobel peace price winner Wangari Maathai stands to be one of bold and brightest women to be born in the country.

Maathai been both locally and internationally educated she beat all odds to make sure karura forest which was on verge of extinction was reafforested for the sake of environment.

The environment, social and political activist became one of the most celebrated politicians and public figure even earning himself a road along kiambu Road.

She was also Tetu member of Parliament from 2002 and was elected minister of Natural Resources (NARE) under Mwai kibaki government.

With all predicaments which she went through over the years, one thing stood constant in her life and that's her infectious smile.

Smiling was part of her gem as seen in photos taken in 1990s when she was at St. Scholastica college in United States where she got first masters degree across East and Central Africa.
