KCPE 2020 Top Candidate Unable To Join High School

Faith Mumo, the best student in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2020, is in danger of missing out on her dream school due to a shortage of funds.

Faith got accepted into Kenya High School after achieving a KCPE score of 433 out of a possible 500.

Her father, Paul Mumo, noted, however, that they were unable to acquire funds for her tuition and other expenses that may emerge during her enrollment.

This comes after a slew of well-wishers who had volunteered to cover her school tuition became silent.

Her father indicated that he needed at least Ksh120,000 in order for Mumo to be accepted into Form One.

Only Margaret Wanjiru of Jesus is Alive Ministries kept her word and paid her school fees with a Ksh26,000 check.

Mr. Mumo further revealed that they were anticipating an undisclosed sum of money from Matungulu MP Stephen Mule.

Mr. Mumo, a professional accountant, lost his job in 2020 when the coronavirus epidemic broke out. To support his family, he turned to growing veggies and peppers, which he sells.

He further highlighted that he was stressed to pay Mumo's fees and those of her three other siblings.

Mumo will begin Form One on August along with others who have been assigned to other secondary schools across the country.
