Conducting our research in Nyamira county we came across one girls' national school, Sironga girls that impressed us with the nicknames that they have given their school. 1. The Maroon Palace

According to our research, the students said that this name came from their previous principal, Hellen Mabese. She gave this name considering the color of the school, that's their maroon skirts, cardigans, and the maroon-painted school. Indeed Sironga is painted maroon and white color resembling a Palace. Through its color, it has attracted most parents taking their children there to study and also being a performing school.

2. Cyro

Cyro is a name generated by students referring to Sironga. They say it is a short form of Sironga with added vocabulary, this left us with a lot of questions concerning the name "cyro".Most neighboring schools like Nyambaria boys, and Kebirigo boys also have adapted to this name.
