Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has come out strongly challenging parents who are complaining about the cost of Competency-Based Curriculum to stop their unnecessary complaints. Parents who have been complaining of the huge tasks the new system of education has rendered to them of helping their students with some homework are now facing a big blow after Professor George Magoha challenged them to stop running from their responsibility.
Education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha told the parents that their role in training children should not end he they have given birth, but they must continuously help the government in training children to become responsible and reliable people in the future. Hon. Magoha said this in response to their complaint about helping children in some homework.
"Who told you you were just to produce a child then you allow them to go to school? Those saying parents are too engaged are using cost to run away from it. Which cost? Be innovative. Wisdom is in the brain not in the School.," said Magoha.
