UASU Condemns Kisii University Over Lecturers' Ongoing strike

Kisii University lecturers' are demanding University pay their full salary as passed in 2017. Dr. Constantine Wesonga Opiyo Said University administrations should respect lecturers and pay their lecturers as required in the law. He said lecturers will not hold Harambee to help institutions to pay lecturers. Not only Kisii University lecturers' are demanding full salary payment. Moi University last year lecturers were on the strike over payment arrears. Moi University held a series of meetings last year with lecturers officials and agreed to end the strike. Currently, Egerton University lecturers' are on the strike demanding 100 percent salary payment as per law. University Management is still putting effort to end lecturers' strikes after a series of meetings without any solution.
