Maalim Mohammed and Gachagua today
The powerful Rift Valley regional commissioner Mr Maalim Mohammed, was part of the delegation that accompanied ruto's deputy Gachagua when he landed in one of the leading schools in the area. This being the first Tour that the deputy president is making to the said area just a few months after taking over the wheels of power from his predecessor William ruto.
According to the deputy president he directed The regional commissioner to ensure that schoolgoing children are safeguarded from senior citizens and adults who have been preying on them leading to High cases of school going pregnancy amongst school going children.
He further reiterated ruto's commitment in ensuring that education in marginalized areas such as samburu are given a high priority with students and teachers learning and teaching in this area granted of first priority when it comes to government offers.
On the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education the deputy president revealed that his government will ensure that equal opportunities is granted to marginalized Communities so as to field the students into the university.
