
Today morning, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua promised to donate Ksh300,000 to Komarock Primary School candidates found in Nairobi county towards their farewell party to be held on Wednesday after the end of the ongoing national examinations.
The second in command has offered to give the money to the school headteacher with an addition of Ksh100,000 for the school teachers as a token of appreciation.
Gachagua made the announcement after he toured the school premises to monitor the progress of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations.

Hours after his promise, renowned lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi has come out to react on Gachagua's decision to offer the amount to the school. According to Ahmednassir, the deputy president is a politician who effortlessly connects with ordinary citizens.
Through his official Twitter account, Abdullahi has said "DP Rigathi is the quintessential Kenyan politician who effortlessly connects with ordinary Kenyans."
