Nyakasara mixed secondary school has come to the attention of most of the social media users, the school which is located in Uganda, has brought mixed reactions through its uniqueness where both ladies and men put on skirts as uniforms.
Perhaps Nyakasara school is the only one of its kind in Uganda and in the whole of Africa where both men and ladies put on skirts.
While having an interview with a Rwandan based media station, the school principal defended the school's Uniform by confirming that it has been the school's traditional way back from 1916 when the school was founded.
He also added that the attire builds confidence to the male students in the school.
"The attire builds confidence in boys hence brings out strong leaders; therefore, it has a unique identity," the principal said.
The school was started in 1926 by a missionary with a Scottish origin who was called Ernest Willian Calwell. The missionary had an aim of building the Scottish culture of men wearing skilts in Africa.
