Schools have closed, and only class 8 and Form Four learner remain in schools awaiting their exams. Many teachers who are not teaching class 8 and Form Four or on duty have now left schools to commence their seven weeks holiday.
However, one thing is now intriguing as the TPAD deadline approaches the site is completely down. The site either not working or unavailable which is causing a lot headache to teachers.
The site usually functions efficiently at the start of the term as teachers access their accounts without any problem. Although as it approaches the wee times of the term the site breaks down. This is quite unfortunate and stressing to teachers who want to have peace of mind after straneous teaching exercise.
The problem is becoming a perenial trend as the site fails in most instances, times like these ones. It is a clear message that the huge number of teachers using the site overwhelms it by far. The ICT Department should develop a strong site which can sustain the large number of teachers accessing it and enhance consistency.
The failure of this site creates unnecessary incovenience to teachers. As usual the current TPAD calendar for Term 2 2021 for lower classes in primary section and Form 1-3 in secondary schools is coming to an end in March this year, shortly before national examinations and TPAD activities should be wound up.
Teachers have taken to the TSC social platforms requesting TSC to accelerate its response and on the matter to enable teachers upload their online TPAD ratings in order to catch up with the deadline.
TSC should take responsibility and improve the TPAD site to save teachers from unnecessary agony every time like this.
