The outbreak of the Covid-19 disease affected the usual learning timetable and I promise any of the primary pupils who will be the most top in the county shall get free secondary and university academics. Busia county Governor H.E Sospeter Ojaamong has assured all the primary teachers in the county.
The Governor who had joined the 137 pupils for a prayer mass at Ang'orom Catholic Church ahead of the Monday 22nd, March 2021. exams said he will offer a full scholarship for four years of secondary education and university.
"Busia county is one the many that produce excellent results. And I want to thank all those teachers who have tirelessly worked with our children round the clock and just give them a message of hope that my office is steadfast in rewarding the top student. Lucky to the one that will get the sponsorship", governor Ojaamong hesitated.

Similarly, he went on that his government will offer sponsorship to other vulnerable pupils who will excel in the exams, noting KSh 60 million worth of bursaries will be rolled out to benefit secondary, college and university students.
" I will also liaise with members of the County Assembly to have them sponsor pupils in their constituencies through Constituency Fund and Members of the County Assembly through Ward Based Projects", He added.
HE Ojaamong who wished students across the county the best of luck urged parents to ensure their children observe the Covid-19 protocol during and after the exams including wearing masks, washing hands with soap and observing social distance, requesting every candidate to focus on his or her future career.
The country chief challenged the candidates to work towards taking charge of their career for Community development.
"I appreciate parents, teachers for support and more so students for the zeal to learn. I urge you to look into the future and work towards your career, I m going to work towards each of you getting admitted to secondary schools." he went on.
