The MoiUniversity strikes that inlvolves students and lectures recently continues eliciting reactions among kenyans.
However the signs of collapse of Moi University started to manifest after the exit of Prof Richard Mibey a VC who is attributed to growth of Moi University.
It has also emerged that local politics contributed collapse the University.
Some years back after the formation of counties some local leaders stormed the University after Prof Laban Aiyiro took from Prof Mibei.
The leaders stormed the University demanding one of their own to take over the leadership that saw them being summoned at DCI for incitement.
However years later after their wish was granted after new VC took over Prof Isaac Kosgei the residents are beginning to expressed their outrage claiming the institution beginning to collapse .
According to the locals famous Moi University is turning out to be a shell of it former.
The recent strike has cast doubts on the effectiveness of the management which has putting the University at on negative perspectives.
Prof Isaac Kosgei who is attributed for his hardwork in various Universities that he has served in kenya is a man under Siege who took over the leadership during a lowest moment has a big task of transforming the institution.
