Principals Are Running Schools As Personal Profit Making Machines- Robert Alai On School Unrest

Kenyan blogger Robert Alai has created heated reactions from netizens after his latest remarks concerning the unrest being witnessed in Kenyan secondary schools.

Penning his thoughts in a post on his Twitter account on Tuesday, Alai claimed that the best ways to address the unrest in schools is to widen accountability.

He further called for the activation of all school alumni groups and that the groups should be made to actively participate in the school development activities,a post which has elicited mixed reactions from netizens.

"The BEST way to address the unrest in schools is to widen accountability. Activate all school alumni and insist on them actively being part of the school development. Principals and Chief Principals are currently running schools as personal profit making machines," Said Robert Alai.

"You are right, from high school experience, the Principal used to set aside time on weekends to talk to students as a class and have fun stories together. It really worked in instilling discipline as well as maintaining the focus of students in school and life after school," A comment read.
