CBC, is the new Curriculum taking place after the 8-4-4 system. In this curriculum, the learner is the key aspect. Much of the learning taking place in this Curriculum is done by learners as teachers are only but directors.
Competancy Based Curriculum system is generally faced with a lot of challenges. Some of these challenges are shortage of teachers, lack of trained teachers under the new Curriculum, lack of enough learning materials, lack of enough classrooms among many other challenges.
Speaking earlier, the cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu confirmed that the new Curriculum was well received by Kenyans, and therefore CBC will continue to be administered to our learners.
Well, following a tweet tweeted by Citizen digital, they have indicated that Muslim religious leaders are planning for mass action over the new curriculum. They claim that the ministry hasn't laid proper strategies on how to make CBC affordable to all learners.
