Education CS Magoha Issues The Date On Which Schools Should Reopen After Tuesday's Elections

Last Monday, all primary and secondary schools in Kenya temporarily suspended classes in order to make room for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to hold the divisive 2022 national elections.

All primary and secondary schools are anticipated to resume operations on Thursday, August 11, 2022, following the completion of the general elections scheduled for the ninth day of August, 2022, according to a Daily Nation article.

This announcement essentially indicates that the country's primary and secondary schools are scheduled to return on Tuesday of next week, exactly two days after the conclusion of the general elections.

The 11th day of August 2022 falls on Thursday, and Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has ordered all parents and instructors to make sure that Learners return to school on that day.

The 2022 academic year's term 2 activities are planned to continue once classes resume on Thursday of the following week.
