Teachers service Commission is Constitutionally Mandated to register hire, promote, transfer and excercise disciplinary Control over teachers.
Pursuit to it's Mandate, the commission has declared 2945 vacancies in primary and secondary schools to be filled after being created by natural attrition.
According to TSC , a majority of the vacancies 2053 will go to Primary schools while secondary schools have 892 slots.
For Primary schools, recruitment will take place in the subcounties while those for secondary will take place in respective Schools.
The new teachers will report to work on April 25 2022 when the new academic calendar will begin.
A closer look at the distribution of vacancies reveals that Kakamega county has the lion's share with 120 opportunities while Kiambu comes second with 104.

One, There will be a virtual sensitization of regional directors tommorow. Online applications were opened yesterday and will stay open until February 1.
Two, Collection of employment forms by county directors will begin January 28.
Three, Generation and sending of merit lists to county directors will take place on February 1 and 2 followed by the county selection process and filling of application for employment forms for the successful candidates.
Four, Another vetting will take place at TSC headquarters on February 18
Five, handling of complaints will take place between February 22 to 25.
Finally, the final documents will be sent to TSC by March 3 afterwhich the capturing of details of successful candidates, opening of files and signing of offer letters and initiation of teacher posting will take place.
The Commission has warned aggainst corruption asking teachers to report any such cases.
