Schools to watch in Western and Nyanza
Now let's shift focus on schols to watch in former Nyanza and western provinces as the waiting continues. In Nyanza, we will focus on maranda and maseno.
Maranda high school
In 2019 Maranda took 618 students out of 705 who scored C+ and above to university and had a mean score of 8.9.
19 candidates scored straight As, while 142 had A-. The school also had 156 B+. Only 86 candidates had grade C Plain and below.
The huge number of candidature affected the overall mean of Maranda hence it didn't appear in top ten countrywide nevertheless, it's a force to reckon with.
Maseno National school
The national school topped in Nyanza with a mean of 9.0 in 2019 with 436 Candidates who scored C+ and above making it to university.
It had a total candidature of 477 whereby 23 students scored straight As. Will maseno retain it's position this time round?
Kamusinga high school
The western giant had a total candidature of 286 in 2019 out of which 259 scored C+ and above with 9 getting straight As. With a mean of 9.16, this is a school to watch ahead of the release of 2020 exams.
The exams will be released at strange times when other students will be reporting for their third term unlike the normal tradition.
Do you think these giants will defend their positions in 2020 KCSE exams? Feel free to share your thoughts and comments on this on our comments platform.
