Win Big To Teachers As KUPPET Gives New Directives Over Pay Rise

The Teachers service commission is a government institution that deals with all aspects pertaining teachers in Kenya. For instance, the commission handles regression of newly full trained teachers from various institutions in the country. Currently, the commission is dealing with recruitment of over thirty thousand teachers countrywide.

The new teachers will be distributed to various institutions to teach under Junior secondary schools in the new education system, Competency Based Curriculum.

As the recruitment process is on, Teachers now demand pay rise accorded to allowances. Following the news that have been released through Kenya., teachers are complaining about the equal amount of house allowances to all teachers including those living in big cities like Nairobi. In a report that has been released by the Kenya Union of Post Primary Teachers, KUPPET the 3500 shillings is little amount that can cause teachers to live in slums. Therefore, the Teachers service commission is requested to address the issue of pay rise for teachers since the salaries remuneration commission increased allowances for all civil servants. If the issue shall be addressed positively, then teachers will win big as their salaries will increase.
