Good News to Public University Students as UASU Makes the Following Move

Kenya is a sovereign state that is under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta. The country has a good number of public universities such as Maseno, Nairobi, Moi and Kenyatta that offer different courses to thousands of students.

It's a sigh of relief and good news to university students who belong to public universities following the act of the University Academic Staff Union (UASU) suspending the strike that was scheduled to kickoff as from this week.

The UASU secretary general Dr. Constantine Wasonga has made the remarks suspending the strike to give room for discussion over the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This comes barely one week after the university lecturers threatened to down their tools if the government was not going to hear their plea.

In conclusion, these are great news to the university students as the teaching and learning process will continue as scheduled as the government and the UASU are set to meet and discuss the way forward.
