For the teachers to remain healthy, they have medical covers that provides them access to good health facilities whenever they become sick.
Teachers are entitled to medical cover insurances provided by the National Hospital Insurance Fund, NHIF and AON MINET.
On monthly basis, some funds are remitted to the medical cover provider from their salaries to enable them seek medical services from any health facilities that accept either of those insurances.
Teachers' medical insurance service provider, AON MINET, has announced to teachers who wish to change dependants to do so.
Teachers have been given until 30th June 2021 to change their dependants. AON MINET supports up to four children as dependants.
Willing teachers are asked to visit any county AON MINET offices for help with the change of dependants.
Earlier, TSC had struck a deal with AON MINET to treat teachers and their dependants who might have contracted Covid-19.
Therefore, teachers have been given a window period up to 30th June 2021 to ensure that they have made the changes.
