Murang'a: Matatu With Students on Board Involved in Nasty Accident at Kambiti

Over the past few weeks, accidents on the Kenyan highways have been on the rise with the government, through the National Safety and Transport Authority doing its best to mitigate this scourge.

A few weeks ago as students were closing school, three girls from a popular high school lost their lives in a head on collision accident involving the matatu they were in.

This morning, an almost similar accident has occured at Kambiti in the county of Murang'a after a Meru Nissan Sacco Matatu lost control.

The matatu rammed onto the side of the road where the barriers are leaving the matatu badly damaged.

According to reports, some students were on board the ill fated matatu but there were no casualties or serious injuries.

The cause of the accident has not yet been established but police are said to be at the scene assessing the situation.

The accident has caused quite a bit of a snarlup as students embark on their journey back to school after the festive holidays.
