Speculations High as Schools Reportedly Defy Magoha’s Order To Lower School Fees Amid 2nd Term

Following the coronavirus pandemic it is clear that the country's economy had been reduced by a quite number of percentage as a result of many people rendered jobless due to the pandemic.

Many parents therefore have been issuing different complains to the ministry of education on school fees standardization as far as their economic level had been lowered.

The ministry of education  in August released fee guidelines requiring National Schools to pay Sh45,054 while Extra County and County schools pay Sh35,035.

This step was made to ensure that schools are given a standardized fee payment according to different categories of schools.

Despite all these, some schools have been reportedly hiking the school fees which has made parents to revisit the matter afresh.

Among the reported schools are Loreto Girls Secondary School, Limuru, a national school jointly managed by the Catholic Church where parents were asked to pay Sh75,000 contrary to the CS instructions.
