It has been a sad evening at Ndagene boys high school after an evening fire destroyed two dormitories. The school which is located 8 kilometres from Nkubu town in Meru County reported yesterday after the holidays on to experience the sad incident a day after.
According to the school administration the fire started at around 6:00 pm where the boys where having the supper. A staff noticed unusual smoke from the dorm area before informing the administration.
The whole fraternity raised to the sight trying where the started putting of the fire. Meru County fire team responsed a little bit late where they swang in action stopping the fire.
The aftermath left the school with a loss of two dormitories with students lossing their valuables. The school administration said that all students are safe saying that the cause of the fire is it to be known with investigation already underway.
Ndagene boys becomes the second school to have an inferno in the county after Ruiri girls that was witnessed yesterday.
