KASNEB has officially launched a new syllabus and at the same time introducing new courses, a move geared to meet the emerging Market demand.
During the launch, KASNEB Examination Director, said that the examination body is moving beyond the examinations and adopt a competency based curriculum which will include practical skills such as workshops and projects.
According to the KASNEB new syllabus 2021, CPA will be divided into 3 levels with students taking an additional paper depending on the specialization a student ha chosen.
After completing the CPA, it will be a requirement for candidates to attend workshops and earn Initial Professional Development (IPD) hours.
Almost all professional KASNEB courses will now have practicals.
Some new courses have been introduced the examination body under CISSE including Certificate in Information and Cyber Security, Certificate in Block Chain Technology and Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation among others.
The first examination to be done under this new KASNEB syllabus will be in December 2021.
