Few counties had been locked down on March following the increased rate of covid 19 infections which also led to closure of schools including all universities and tertiary institutions.
According to publication on the Daily Nation Publication today, there is possibility and hope of return to normal and easing of covid 19 protocols after experts have observed the declining rate of the curve. The acting director Patrick Amoth stated that the government is closely observing the curve adding that the health experts would advice him accordingly if the positivity rate continues to go down.[Photo|courtesy]
He further stated that the positivity rate and the number of infections have been going down since the lockdown was imposed, that is from a high rate of 2008 cases on March 26 to a low rate of 486 cases on 12 April. This shows that the cases have declined therefore there is likelihood of opening up the counties.
