The Competency Based Curriculum was initiated by the previous administration that was led by Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Professor George Magoha who was the Education Cabinet Secretary.
However, since the new administration led by President William Ruto took over, the fate of the Competency Based Curriculum is hanging on the balance.
The Competency Based Curriculum Taskforce that was appointed by President William Ruto is to compile it's report in the next few days and hand it over to State House.
This morning, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the Education Ministry, President William Ruto is set to announce the fate of the grade six learners in the coming days.
The President will make a major pronouncement on the domicile of the junior secondary school, as per what the Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced yesterday.
The CS of Education Ezekiel Machogu had hinted that this would depend on the report of the Presidential Working Party on the Education Reforms, which was appointed by President Ruto to seek the views of Kenyans and advise the President on the proper sectoral reforms.
