Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) is one of the independent bodies in Kenya. The commission is responsible with the hiring, disciplining and promoting teachers from one job group to another.
The commission which is currently under the leadership of Dr. Nancy Macharia as the serving Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) has been working around the clock to ensure that schools do not experience teacher shortage challenge.
For this reason, TSC has advertised vacancies to be filled in by both primary and secondary school teachers. The teachers will serve on internship basis as a contract that will last for 12 months.
However, according to TSC, not all teachers will qualify to be shortlisted. The following category of teachers will not be considered during the recruitment exercise:
1. Those with fake certificates.
2. Those teachers who do not meet the minimum requirements as indicated by TSC in the yesterday's advertisement.
3. Those who had previously been employed by TSC and later on dismissed.
4. Those who miss on the graduation lists of their respective universities.
