The Teachers Service Commission has been rewarding teachers who have excelled in their areas of work.These awards have always come in different forms such as material award,promotions amongst others.Besides that,the Commission has also been recognising the teachers' and secretariat's efforts through its different platforms.
It is always good to motivate a teacher for a good performance not only in class work but also in other innovative areas.These areas should however be beneficial to the learners.These motivations do boost the teachers' morales.
The Kenyan teachers have always been applauded for their exemplary performances in the international competitions.It is clear that many teachers still remember teacher Peter Tabichi from Nakuru who hit the headlines with his Global teacher award in 2019.
The teachers employer has now called upon the teachers to submit their applications for the 2021 UNESCO International Literacy Prizes Award.This award comprises eligible programs or projects for the teachers that have proven a record of innovative work in the field of Literacy for atleast three years.The teachers can try this application.
